OBSERVANCE OF ANTI DRUG DAY

On 26 th June 2025  at 11 a.m  NSS unit no 77 of the college organised Pledge taking ceremony on the event of anti drug day at the college campus to spread anti drug awareness .The Pledge was led by Rev.Dr.Rocky Ravi Fernandes ,Principal  of the College.Staffs and students have actively participated in this event.

     The event was followed by Drug awareness session at 2 p.m with the objective of spreading awareness about the harmful effects  of drug abuse and promoting a drug free lifestyle among the students .The session was inaugurated by Rev.Dr.Rocky Ravi Fernandes , Principal of the college who emphasized the need for collective responsibility in combating drug addiction and encouraged students to stand firm against peer pressure and substance abuse.The event began with a warm welcome speech delivered by Zara, a student of II Bcom , who highlighted the importance of observing this day and introduced the theme of the programme.The event was hosted by Jenisha of II Bcom, who efficiently carried out her role as master of ceremonies.The session was led by Resource person Mr.Janardhan, civil excise officer, who gave compelling talk on different types of drugs,their physical and psychological impacts and the legal consequences of drug possession and abuse.The officer also provided valuable insights on preventive measures and strategies to help individuals to overcome addiction.The program concluded with vote of thanks by Vinya , who expressed gratitude to the Principal, the resource person, NSS coordinators ,teachers and students for their active participation and support in making the event a success.

     The event served as a strong reminder of the importance of staying informed and making healthy life choices , reinforcing the college commitment to a drug free environment.
