Starting NSS ,in St.Mary’s College that is yet to bloom, is one more feather added to its cap.It's an achievement that one should feel pride in.
The NSS Unit of St.Mary’s College was inauguarated on 5thAug 2019.The chief guest for the function was Prof.Mohammed Ali, Ast.Prof in Department of kannada and the NSS Programme Officer of Govt.College Kasaragod.The inauguaral function was chaired by College Principal Fr.Ahok Rayan Crasta in the presence of Correspondent Very Rev.Fr.John Vas,Vice Principal Mr.Vincent D’Souza and NSS Co-ordinator Mr.Nagaraj along with 53 NSS volunteers.
The function began with the lighting of traditional lamp by the dignitaries. Fr.Ahok Rayan crasta ,Principal of the college welcomed the gathering.
The Chief guest,Prof.Mohammed Ali highlighted various issues confronting the society and appealed the NSS volunteers to be proactively involved in solving social problems.HE gave an insight about various activities to be conducted through NSS such as orientation on social and health issues,education,blood donation camp etc.
Along with NSS Unit inauguaration newly created website of our college , ‘www.smcbela.com’ was also inauguarated by the Correspondent of College Very.Rev.Fr.John Vas.
NSS Co-ordinator ,Mr.Nagaraj proposed the vote of thanks.
