Seven days NSS special camp for the NSS volunteers of St.Mary’s College Bela was held at S.M.M.A.U.P School Mundithadka from 22nd to 28th December 2023, under the guidance of Camp officer Mr.Vincent D’souza. Mr.Somashekar J.S President Enmakaje Grama Panchayath inaugurated the camp. College Principal Rev.Dr. Rocky Ravi Fernandes, presided over the gathering. 48 NSS volunteers actively participated in the camp with a motto ‘bringing awareness towards pollution free environment among youth.’ Driven by this motto volunteers enacted street play at Pallam and Mundithadka junction, cleansed the surrounding ,attended awareness classes by various resource persons, cleansed water reservoirs, sessions were held on Self defense and Yoga and volunteers were enlightened about agriculture and made kitchen garden at campsite. College Correspondent V.Rev.Fr.Stany Pereira presided over the valedictory session, Mr.Subbanna Alva President Puthige Grama Panchayatha, Mr.Raghuram school Manager,Mr.Vijaya Kumar, Head Master and other eminent personalities were present for the gathering. Ms. Keerthi compared the entire programme and Mr.Vincent D’souza Camp officer proposedvoteof thanks.
