Seven days NSS camp of unit number 77 of St Mary's College Bela held at ALP school Kilingar from 23 rd December to 29 th December 2025,50 volunteers participated in the camp, they arrived at the camp site on 23 rd December 2025 at 4 PM.The camp was inaugurated by V.Rev.Fr.Stany Pereira, Correspondent of St Mary's College Bela on 24 th December 2025.K.N Krishna Bhat was the chief guest of the programme.Mrs.Shrividya Head Mistress of ALP School Kilingar, Vishnu Prakash Perva PTA President ALP school Kilingar, Mr.Shivaprasad HM Secretary,NABARD Mugu water shed , Principal Rev.Dr.Rocky Ravi Fernandes, Vice Principal Mr.Vincent D'Souza, NSS coordinators Mrs.Sowmyashree, Ms.Keerthika were present over the gathering. Volunteers were grouped into namely Pragathi,Jagruthi,Thejashwi,Sankalpa,Chethana. To bring the awareness about the digital literacy ,home visit was done by the volunteers on 24th December 2025.Each group covered 10 to 15 houses.Volunteers have been actively involved in creating awareness regarding digital literacy.Every morning the yoga and warm up session was conducted to refresh the volunteers, the day always ended with evaluation regarding the day.
Eminent Personalities enriched the students on farming, Artificial intelligence and Personality Development like, " Farm to Hive: An educational field visit" was conducted on 25th December 2025 lead by the resource person Mr.Shivaprasad HM Secretary, NABARD Mugu watershed who enlightened the students regarding the farming activities which gave an amazing experience to the volunteers.
On 27th December 2025 Orientation programme regarding Artificial intelligence was conducted by Resource Person Mr.Rashid AI ( founder lawyer AI) , who enlightened the students on Artificial Intelligence, where he enlightened the importance of emerging technologies.
The Resource Person Mr.Mahesh Yethadka Teacher of Katukukke Higher Secondary school, Best volunteer award winner conducted orientation programme on 28 th December 2025 on the topic Theatre games which helped the volunteers to develop their personality.The session was very fruitful to the volunteers.
The Seven days NSS Special Camp was a meaningful and enriching experience for all the volunteers.Students have cleansed school surroundings, nearby areas and also town cleaning was done. They planted the the plants, watering was done to the gardens of the school.Throughout the camp volunteers actively participated in various activities which helped them in developing leadership qualities and spirit of team work among them.
The camp came into end with an validictory ceremony on 29 th December 2025.The programme began with the Nss Prayer. Mr.Vincent D' Souza Vice Principal of St Mary's College Bela delivered his Presidential Address.Mrs.Shrividya HM of ALP School Kilingar, Mrs Divyalakshmi MPTA President of ALP School Kilingar, NSSCoordinators Mrs.Sowmyashree and Ms . Keerthika were present over the gathering.Students were given the opportunity to share their feedback of the camp.
The camp was conducted smoothly by the constant support of the Managers , HM , staffs, PTA of ALPS Kilingar, Principal and staff of St Mary's College Bela, club members, sponsers and well wishers as well as the local community.
