The NSS Unit of St Marys College Bela organised ‘Hair Donation Camp’ at its campus on 18th February, 2022, in association with ‘Blood Donors Kerala Charitable Society, Kasaragod’ and ‘CODP SPARSHA Campaign against Cancer’.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Noushad Kannambally, District president Blood Donors Kerala Charitable Society Kasaragod. In his address he provided awareness about junk food and its bad effects on health by causing Cancer. The principal Rev.Fr. Anil Avild Lobo presided over the gathering. In his presidential address applauded the generosity of the donors and called the students to come up with such humanitarian activities.
Mrs. Shilpa Raina D’Souza, the coordinator of CODP Mangalore, Mr.Sailanadh S.P district executive committee member, Mr.Ravi Crasta, CODP project Coordinator, Mr. Vincent D,souza, vice principal St Mary,s college Bela, Mr. Anoop chandran, NSS Coordinator were the guest of honour to the programme.
The NSS Volunteers: Ms. Deekshitha, Ms.sneha KH, Ms.Nishmitha, Ms.Sharanya, Ms. Karthika, Ms.Fathimath Shana, Ms.Chaithra along with lecturers Mrs. Yashashree and Mrs.Uma donated their hair for the noble cause. Mr. Unnithamban, Ms.Anusha D’Souza, Ms.Roshitha, Mrs.Kripa also joined this campaign by donating their hair for cancer patients. Altogether 13 donours voluntarily came forward to wipe tears of cancer patients.
St Mary’s College Principal Rev.Fr. Anil Avild Lobo, felicitated the donors with the memento and certificate.
NSS volunteer Ms. Shreeja of II BCom welcomed the gathering. Mr. Ashik of II BBA delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Benita II BCom mastered the ceremony.
