On June 5, 2024, NSS Unit No. 77 of St. Mary’s College, Bela celebrated Environmental Day with great enthusiasm and dedication. The event was attended by NSS coordinators, staff, and students who came together to promote environmental awareness and sustainability. The students planted saplings around the campus, which not only added to the greenery but also symbolized their commitment to a greener future. This initiative was complemented by a thorough
cleaning of the campus surroundings, where students removed litter and waste, beautifying the environment and promoting a sense of responsibility among the participants.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation, promote sustainability through tree plantation and waste management, and foster a sense of community engagement. Through their active participation, the students demonstrated their understanding of environmental issues and their willingness to contribute to a sustainable future. The NSS coordinators and staff played a pivotal role in guiding and supporting the students throughout the event. Their expertise and encouragement helped ensure the success of the celebration.
