The Kannur university Students Union have been organizing Various educative, entertaining, constructive programmes and celebrations each year with an objective to develop intellectual, cultural and artistic talents of the student community which would essentially lead to the development of their personalities. The Union had organized Kalothsavam from 23rd March to 27th March 2022. The students of St. Mary's college actively participated in number events at Kalothsavam. In the following the students participated - Story writing in English and Kannada, Poem writing in English and Hindi, Essay writing in Kannada and English, Pencil drawing, Water colour drawing, Quiz, Mappilla Pattu, Lalitha ganam, Sanga ganam, Nadan Pattu, Kuchu Pudi, Kerala Nadanam and Nadodinrithyam. Two of our students bagged first place with A grade in Kannada Story writing by Shilpa K I MCom and in Kannada Essay writing by Deekshitha Machado II Mcom. The students gave a tremendous performance in all the events. The students were trained and led by faculty members Ms. Preetha Kumari and Mrs. Akshatha BSK.
