“SMC – DAKAETIA” - Decennial Year Celebration and Inauguration of new PG Block & Auditorium

Decennial Celebration of St. Mary's College, Bela, was held on May 27, 2022. Rt Rev. Msgr Lawrence Maxim Norohna, the Vicar General, Diocese of Mangalore and the Vice President of the Catholic Board of Education presided over the programme.





Rt Rev. Msgr Lawrence Maxim Norohna inaugurated the new Auditorium and released the decennial souvenir. He also felicitated the rank holders of the B.Com and BBA of Kannur University examinations of past 10 years.




Addressing the gathering he said “Education acquired should draw out something in order to face challenges to bring out the unique and precious potentials within every student. Knowledge, Skill and Values are the aspects of education. Knowledge given with love gives wisdom. It is with wisdom values develop in life and they give proper direction to our lives. As students it is necessary to have all the three aspects in life.”


The Chief Guest of the occasion, Rev. Fr Vincent Dsouza, Pioneer of St Mary's college Bela and the Parish priest of St. Antony church, Kuluru inaugurated the new PG Block and later distributed the prizes. In his message he congratulated the college management and faculty on increasing the strength of the students. He urged every student to work hard towards achievement of their goal.





Very Rev. Fr Stany Pereira , the Correspondent of St Mary's college welcomed the gathering and Rev. Fr Anil Avild Lobo, the Principal presented felicitations to the donors and workers.


The old student association under the title “Milan” was inaugurated by unveiling the logo. The vice principal Mr Vincent Dsouza, Kasaragod block panchayath member Mrs Jameela Ahammed, District Panchayath member Mrs. Jasmin Kebeer, 18th ward member Mr Abdul Rahiman , Badiadka Panchayat Secretary Mr. Abbas, Mr Jithilesh the secretary Old Student Assoiciation were present on the dais.




The students presented a colorful cultural programme which comprised various dance forms with the theme "Incredible India”. The student Ms.Vishaya, Ms. Krishnapriya and Mr Sreekanth compered the programme.
